What We Do
・We connect respectful and curious guests with welcoming local host families in Perth for short term homestays. Our goal is to create real cultural connections through shared daily life.
・We will take them on two outings per week to explore Perth. If some guests want to travel a bit further, we can take them on small tours outside the city.
Host Family
Would you like to open your home for a unique cultural experience?
We are looking for welcoming host familles in Perth who are willing to host guests aged 20 and over. There is no need to change your lifestyle, simply share your daily routine and give them a real taste of your life.
Hosting is flexible. Most guests usually stay for 1 - 2 weeks, however some guests stay up to 4 weeks. We’ll pair hosts with guests based on who suits their preferences best. We’ll keep you updated throughout the whole process.
If you're working or have prior commitments no need to worry. During the day guests will generally be out exploring Perth.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Provide a private bedroom for the guest and a welcoming home.
2. Offer two meals per day - usually breakfast and dinner.
(We encourage you to share meals with guests and get to know one another)
3. Offer a friendly and welcoming environment. Spend some time chatting with the guests and share your culture.
※ As a host family you'll simply be sharing meals, conversations and your daily activities. No need to change your daily routine, experience a cultural exchange in the comfort of your own home.
・Our TSUNAGU guests are over 20 years old.
They are polite, respectful, and independent. They do not come as students, instead, they spend their time exploring Perth and experiencing daily life through a homestay.
Guests
Some of our guests join this homestay to build confidence before starting their working holiday or living abroad. While others simply enjoy cultural exchange with their host families. Guests are free to explore Perth at their own pace and we will take them on two outings per week to explore Perth. Our guests don't attend school here, instead, they enjoy everyday English through daily conversations and shared experiences with their host families.

Who are we looking for?

Hosting an international guest can be a wonderful way to bring new energy into your home, meet new people and make lifelong friends all in the comfort of your home.
Guests and hosts can enjoy simple everyday moments together, cooking meals, sharing drinks and having relaxed conversations.

Guests often enjoy being apart of everyday family life, such as meals, conversations and simple activities together.
For children, it can be a wonderful opportunity to meet people from different countries and learn about new cultures and languages.

Young or active households. Hosting is also suitable for younger households who enjoy an active lifestyle.
Some guests enjoy spending time with hosts who like exploring local cafe's, beaches, national parks or other local places in Perth.

Before matching a guest with a host family, we speak with each guest in advance to understand their personality, lifestyle, and any allergies or special requirements.
